Climate and Location

Grasslands are found in tropical wet and dry climates. These areas are hot year round, the temperature ranges from 80°F to a high of 100°F it all depends on the season. The savanna has 6 - 8 month wet summer season, and a 4 - 6 month dry winter season.The annual rainfall is from 10 - 30 inches per year. The picture on the right show the annual rain through out the and year. Tropical grasslands are located near the equate, they cover much of Africa as well as large areas of Australia, South America, and India.There are also environmental concerns regarding the temperate grasslands. There are few natural grassland regions remain because most have been turned into farming for there flat lands, treeless areas, lots of grass, and rich soil.
